The study retained 21 existing entries and added 19 product or product-family entries, for 40 reviewed entries. Separate products from one parent can appear, so this isn't a count of 40 independent companies.
The source export covers 70 tracked topics, with 761 deduplicated answers captured from September 18 through October 16, 2026 UTC. Structured brand labels are available for 691 of those answers. The reviewed set contains 4,518 family-answer pairs.
Answers were deduplicated by report, query, AI platform, and capture timestamp. Split answer parts weren't counted as separate answers. Obvious brand/domain aliases were normalized, with each family counted once per labeled answer.
The nonrandom topic mix includes alternatives and best-tool queries. Labels helped identify candidates; they aren't market share, endorsements, or exhaustive full-text brand mentions. Vendor-owned pricing pages and official documentation supplied pricing, not AI answers.
Prices retain native currencies. Monthly billing, annual equivalents, promotions, credits, add-ons, and custom quotes aren't pooled into one market average. Unknowns remain unknown. This research doesn't test data quality, collection accuracy, support, or business outcomes.
One-brand example: 100 custom prompts × 3 specified engines × 30 days × 1 run/day = 9,000 requested checks. Specified engines: ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews. One country and language are assumed.
Ten-client example: 10 brands × 50 distinct prompts × 3 engines × 30 days × 1 run/day = 45,000 requested checks. These are modeled requests, not a guarantee of successfully collected answers.

Counts are retained from the October 16 study. The raw input's checksum was verified for this handoff; the answer-label analysis wasn't rerun. Raw report answers and internal workbook notes aren't included in this public record.
